Not all sandpaper cuts the same. The Axus Decor Arystox roll uses a ceramic oxide grain that keeps re-exposing sharp edges as you work, so it stays effective long after ordinary aluminium oxide paper would wear smooth. A non-stick coating keeps it from clogging, whether you're rubbing down bare timber, filler, plaster or an old painted surface, wet or dry. Pick from 60 Extra-Coarse, 80 Coarse, 120 Medium or 180 Fine, all on a tear-off 115mm x 5m roll.

Sanding down to a smooth, ready-to-finish surface takes the right abrasive, and the Axus Decor Arystox ceramic abrasive paper is built to make that job faster. Its ceramic oxide grain keeps a sharp edge for longer than standard aluminium oxide paper, so you spend less time pressing hard and more time getting a clean result.

The grain is electrostatically aligned, so the sharpest edges face outward from the very first stroke. Better still, a non-stick stearate coating stops the paper clogging with dust or old coatings, which means it keeps cutting at full strength for longer. You can use it wet or dry, on wood, plaster, filler, or previously painted surfaces.

Key Features of the Arystox Ceramic Abrasive Paper
  • Self-sharpening ceramic oxide grain fractures during use to expose fresh cutting edges.
  • Electrostatically-aligned grain gives more cutting points from the first stroke.
  • Non-stick stearate coating resists clogging and heat build-up.
  • Flexible, tear-resistant backing folds, wraps or cuts to size for tight spots.
  • Works wet or dry, and can be rinsed clean to extend its working life.

Where to Use This Ceramic Abrasive Paper
  • Bare wood, filler and plaster that need levelling or keying before a coating.
  • Old paintwork and coatings that need rapid removal.
  • Trim, edges, corners and profiles, where the flexible backing can be folded to fit.
  • Metal surfaces needing rust removal or a key before painting.

How to Apply
  1. First, choose your grit. Work from coarse to fine for the best finish: 60, then 80, then 120, then 180.
  2. Then sand with even, controlled strokes, using lighter pressure than you would with aluminium oxide paper.
  3. Next, tap the paper occasionally to shake off dust and keep it cutting well.
  4. After that, rotate the sheet as you work so wear spreads evenly across the paper.
  5. Finally, wipe away any dust before you apply a coating. A tack cloth works well for this.

Sizes Available

The Arystox range comes as a 115mm x 5m roll, so you can tear off exactly the length you need. Choose from four grits: 60 Extra-Coarse, 80 Coarse, 120 Medium, and 180 Fine, and work through them in order for a smooth, finished surface.

Safety & Restrictions
  • Wear a dust mask and eye protection when dry sanding.
  • Work in a well-ventilated area, and wash hands after use.
  • Store the roll somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight.
  • Keep away from children.

Whichever grit you reach for, the Arystox ceramic abrasive paper is built to get your surface ready faster, with less effort along the way.
