How to Apply Exterior Oils Virgin Oak

1. First, check the timber is dry, bare, and free of dirt or algae. Exotic or treated timbers should weather for about 3 months first.
2. Then, stir the tin well, both before and during use.
3. Apply with a brush, roller, or spray gun. Work in the same direction as the wood grain. Pay extra care to end grain.
4. Leave the first coat for about 12 hours before the next.
5. Apply a second coat, then leave for about 12 hours to dry.
6. Finally, apply a third coat if needed. Finish with Exterior Oils Clear for extra grip against wear.
