How to Apply Filltite Classic Filler

1. Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose material.
2. For the ready to use versions: apply straight from the tub or tube with a filling knife. No mixing needed.
3. For the 2kg powder: add the powder to water a little at a time and stir to a smooth paste. Use approximately 500–600ml of water per 1kg of powder.
4. Press the filler firmly into the repair and slightly overfill.
5. Strike off flat with the blade.
6. Leave to dry fully before sanding and painting.

Choosing the Right Option

The 330g tube is the handy size for a handful of repairs or on-site touch-ups. The 1.5kg tub suits a room’s worth of small holes. Both are ready to use, require no mixing, fill up to 5mm deep per coat, and can be used inside and outside.

The 2kg powder is for interior use only. It mixes with water and can fill up to 2cm deep in a single coat, so it suits larger repairs that the ready to use versions cannot reach. It sets in around 70 minutes and dries in approximately 6 hours per 1cm of depth. Do not use outside or on damp surfaces.

Drying Times

Ready to use versions: allow 24 to 48 hours for a 5mm fill, less for shallower repairs. Powder version: sets in 50–70 minutes, dry in approximately 6 hours per 1cm depth. Do not recoat until fully dry.

Safety & Restrictions

• Keep out of reach of children
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin
• Ready to use: do not apply below 5°C or above 35°C, to frozen, wet, or damp surfaces, or outdoors in direct sunlight or showery weather
• Powder: apply between 8°C and 35°C; not suitable for damp or exterior surfaces
• Do not use the powder paste once it has begun to set
• Store sealed in a cool, dry place
