The Fit For The Job Soft Grip Paint Scraper is built for the rough end of decorating prep. The stainless steel blade has minimal flex, which is what you want when you are lifting old paint, stripping wallpaper, or knocking off a lump that a flexible filling knife would just bend away from.

Rodo make it in three widths, and each one suits a different job. Choosing the right one saves time rather than forcing one scraper to do everything.

Key Features of the Fit For The Job Paint Scraper
  • Durable, hardwearing stainless steel blade
  • Minimal flex, built for lifting stubborn material
  • Soft grip handle with a ribbed thumb area

Where to Use
  • Stripping old paint and varnish
  • Removing wallpaper and lining paper
  • Lifting old adhesive residue
  • Knocking off plaster nibs and blobs
  • Wood, metal panels, and boards
  • General surface preparation before decorating

How to Use the Fit For The Job Paint Scraper
  1. Hold the blade at a low angle to the surface rather than straight on.
  2. Work in short, firm strokes instead of long dragging ones.
  3. Follow the grain on wood to avoid tearing the surface.
  4. Keep the blade edge clean as you go, as build-up reduces the bite.
  5. Ease off the pressure on plaster, since too much will gouge it.
  6. Wipe the blade down after use and store it dry.

Choosing the Right Width

The 2″ suits woodwork such as skirting boards and other flat areas. The 3″ handles wallpaper and wider areas of wood and metal. The 4″ is the one for wallpaper, wood, metal panels, and boards where you want to cover ground faster.

Sizes Available

Choose 2″ (50mm), 3″ (75mm), or 4″ (100mm) from the options above.
